I was a huge fan of SPAWN when the comics were first released back in 1992. 

 I was 9 years old and Image comics had just formed and against my mom's better judgement she let me buy a lot of surprisingly dark and violent comics that helped me become the monster obsessed artist I am today! 

Thankfully she never actually read what was inside the comics or that would have been short lived.
